How do I pay for Platinum services?

Platinum accepts many forms of payment, including Medicaid, major insurances, and private pay. Our staff is dedicated to guide you through coverage options and help you save money in any way possible.

What if I need care around the clock?

Platinum offers 24-hour care in 2 ways: split-shift and live-in. Live-in provides a single caregiver who sleeps in the client’s home. Split-shift provides two caregivers every day, each covering a 12-hour shift.

In what areas are Platinum services available?

We are proud to serve all communities throughout Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Nassau County.

Can I get a Platinum caregiver who speaks my native language?

Currently, our network includes caregivers who speak English, Spanish, French/Creole, Yiddish, Hebrew, Cantonese/Mandarin and Russian. To meet the needs of our clients, we continuously add caregivers who speak different languages. We are happy to match you with a caregiver who can communicate with you in your language of choice.

Home care is so confusing! How do I get started?

We recognize that you have a number of choices to make. To make things easy and simple, our friendly staff is always one call away: 718-616-0800 ext. 1.

How do I know we are safe in your caregiver’s hands?

Platinum takes your safety and wellbeing extremely seriously. We run an extensive background check on each caregiver, as required by the Department of Health. In addition, we use a unique telephone attendance verification system to monitor if services are being rendered properly. We also maintain a team of verifiers whose sole responsibility is to monitor our caregivers’ punctuality, performance and professionalism.

What if I want my family to care for me?

If you are eligible to receive services through Medicaid, you can speak with your Managed Long Term Care Plan and Platinum to get information on whether you qualify to participate in the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program. If you are approved to participate in CDPAP, you are responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling your personal assistant. You can hire the personal assistant of your choice, including, with some limitations, a family member or close friend. Contact our CDPAP department for information about the process.
